Both Homeopathy and Reflexology are excellent for helping with the symptoms of sub-fertility or infertility.

A couple who have unsuccessfully tried to conceive, after at least one year of having well-timed unprotected intercourse, are said to be
sub-fertile or infertile.

In Britain, 1 in 7 couples has fertility problems, with 25% diagnosed as having no known cause for the infertility.

Primary infertility means the couple have never achieved a pregnancy, whereas secondary infertility means that the couple already have one or more children but are having difficulty conceiving again.

Fertility #01Some causes of sub-fertility

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Emotional issues
  • Long work hours
  • Poor diet
  • Too much or too little exercise
  • High consumption of alcohol
  • Menstrual cycle problems
  • Hormone imbalances
  • Endometriosis
  • Poly-Cystic Ovary Syndrome
  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
  • Problems with sperm production/ quality/ motility
  • Impotence

Most common causes of female infertility are:
  • Problems related to ovulation
  • Blocked fallopian tubes

Most common causes of male infertility are:
  • Azoospermia (no sperm produced)
  • Oligospermia (very small amount of sperm produced)

  • Fertility Reflexology

I am a specialist in fertility Reflexology, having undertaken the relevant training with the International Federation of Reflexologists.

How can Reflexology help with fertility?

There are many benefits of having Reflexology to aid with fertility including:
  • Reducing stress levels
  • Balancing hormones
  • Regulating the menstrual cycle
  • Improving blood circulation
  • Enhancing the body’s self-healing mechanisms

It is essential that both partners are in the best health possible to improve the chances of conceiving.

For this reason, it is ideal for both partners to have Reflexology treatments.

I tailor the number and frequency of treatments to the needs of the couple. The timing of the treatments in relation to ovulation is paramount and will be explained to you at your initial consultation.

What if I am having medical treatment for fertility?

If you decide to undergo medical fertility treatment, Reflexology can still be of great benefit.

It can be beneficial in helping the body achieve the best state of health to deal with the drugs/ procedures and also to help you both cope with the emotional strain fertility testing can cause.

Reflexology has such a relaxing and calming effect physically and emotionally and so is very supportive during what can be a highly stressful time.

    Homeopathy and Infertility

Homeopathy can also be very beneficial in helping couples who are experiencing fertility issues.

As well as addressing particular issues relevant to the individual, I use a specific fertility programme, developed by Liz Lalor, an Australian Homeopath.

The programme incorporates Homeopathic remedies and lifestyle advice to help give the couple the best possible chances of conceiving.

How does the homeopathic fertility programme work?

The aims of the homeopathic fertility programme are to:
  • Undo any negative effects of the contraceptive pill or other medication
  • Treat the symptoms of conditions such as PCOS, fibroids or endometriosis
  • Balance hormones, support the whole reproductive system and regulate the menstrual cycle.
  • Improve vaginal mucus quality
  • Treat Candida or thrush
  • Address emotional issues which could hamper an ability to conceive or carry to full term
  • Aid where there is history of repeated miscarriage

How long will I need to be on the programme for?

There are no guarantees with the programme. However, experience has shown that if a pregnancy is going to occur by following the programme, it will usually be achieved within 6 months.

Many of those who do not achieve pregnancy in that time find that they have established a regular ovulatory cycle, which will greatly increase their chances of being able to conceive.

If the programme alone is not successful, then those who go on to have medical procedures such as IVF find that being on the programme alongside this is of benefit, as the body is in a more balanced and positive state of health when commencing the medical treatment.

Consultations are at four to six week intervals, dependant on the length of your menstrual cycle.
They are charged at the standard fees for Homeopathy.

You might be thinking right now, “Which would be best for me - Reflexology or Homeopathy or both?”

As both therapies have had a lot of success in addressing infertility, it does partly come down to personal preference.
You may wish to try one therapy first, and look to adding the other one in later if necessary. Or you may prefer to take a multi-dimensional approach and use both therapies concurrently.

As everybody’s needs are different, I offer a free, no obligation 10 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have.
If you would like to take advantage of this free phone consultation, please contact me.
